Please be mindful as no revving or burnouts will be tolerated. Please let’s make this a big meet and all have a good safe time.

It’s an open-to-anybody event that brings car enthusiasts together, whether they’re driving million-dollar exotics or just a beloved old beater. Just to note; Key Biscayne is a toll road and the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park may charge a small entrance fee.

We are very pleased to announce that the Historic Springfield Main Street Cruise has been chosen to start the 2017 Great Race. The Great Race is the world’s premiere old car rally, and it has traveled many miles in its 34-year existence. The Great Race is a nine-day journey that covers nearly 2,500 miles in vehicles built in 1972 and earlier. It will offer scenic views and historic landmarks along the Dixie Highway. The race will start on Main Street near the Krystal (2023 North Main Street) at 10th and Main at 10am. It is expected that it will take approximately 2 hours to start all of the cars. After the participating race cars have left then the southern rock jam and street cruise will begin. Some of the bands include Second Shot, Big Engine, Fratello and the Curt Towne Band and Dave Hlubek originally from Molly Hatchet. Don’t miss the Friday night (June 23) welcome party from 5pm to 10pm. Bands and participating racers will show off their cars.
