Located in Pasco County near Wesley Chapel, Quail Run presents an annual “car” show to raise funds for their designated charities. It also entertains the many day visitors who enter the property on Old Pasco Road, as well as the residents parked in one of the 292 available RV sites. One of the very best parts of this venue is the availability of at least some shade as old oaks tower over many of the roadways where the show vehicles are parked.
From Brooksville, Bill and Pam brought their 1965 Corvette Roadster to display. The Milano Maroon Vette has had a complete frame off restoration with just an outstanding brilliant white interior. The mechanicals include the original L76 365HP 327, 4 speed posi, 4 wheel power disc brakes, and vintage AC. All work was completed by JnM Enterprizes in Brooksville.
Also being displayed was this classic Saab. Most folks know that these were 2 cycle machines that were quite noisy and smoked quite a bit when started. What most seem to forget was that they were four speed ON THE COLUMN. This one was quiet, non-smoking, and looked like new. The owner obviously made some improvements. Not to be forgotten, “Dolly” was here complete with appropriately attired owner, baguettes in the back seat, and overflowing personality.
After viewing the vehicles here, feasting on homemade lunch eats (coffee and doughnuts for early risers), you can then head over to Streetside Classics (about a 10 minute ride), to buy a classic for yourself. Enjoy!
