When Covid hit Jim spent a bit too much time on the computer. Already an avid Chrysler 300 fan, owning a 2014 300S, he stumbled upon this unique one-of-a-kind Hurst edition in Oregon. Now retired after 51 years, his wife encouraged him to seek out his dream car. “You’ve earned it” she said.
Larry, the original creator, was from Chicago like Jim. Just like old friends, Jim and Larry spoke about the old times living in Chicago. An agreement was struck, and Larry turned over the reins to this 2018 Hurst Heritage by GSS Chrysler 300H to Jim.
This is a very special Chrysler 300 for two reasons. It is a one-of-one produced and it was the lead parade car with Linda Vaughn at the 2018 Carlisle Chrysler Nationals. It has been displayed across the country in many Hurst and Chrysler shows plus was featured as the cover story in Chrysler Power magazine.
This was created as a special tribute edition to the 1970 Chrysler 300H. The GSS badging stands for “Grand Spaulding Special”. This is the historically significant location in Chicago, Grand and Spaulding streets, where the famous Mopar dealership Mr Norm’s Grand Spaulding Dodge was located.  It features many custom options such as the Hurst gold custom paint, custom interior from Katzkin Leather, Hellcat functional ran air hood and intake, Hurst lowering springs, Flowmaster exhaust and much more. The attention to detail makes this Hurst stand out among the modern-day muscle cars.
